Voice Actor / Audiobook Narrator
Experience
Professional Voice Actor
As an audiobook narrator and commercial voice actor, I strive to bring words to life with my unique vocal style. I'm passionate about my craft and am constantly learning and researching to improve my performance. My voice has been described as soothing and soft, but also has been selected for books in appreciation of the snark and sarcasm used in certain projects, and has also been hired for articulation and consistency for large AI dataset projects, making me perfect for a variety of voiceover work, from audiobooks to commercials.

My Studio & Equipment
I operate from my home studio, equipped with a Shure SM7dB Dynamic Vocal Microphone w/Built-in Preamp, ensuring the highest quality audio for all my projects.
Audio Editing & Mastering
I utilize Audacity and Izotope RX 11 for editing and mastering my work. I have worked with audio engineers to ensure I'm using most optimized settings, plugins and macros to generate the best possible sounding finished product.
About Feisty Voice
I grew up in the San Francisco bay area, but have lived in Kansas City, Missouri for the last 18 years. I have twin daughters, a husband, and a handful of cats.
I've loved acting from an early age. Before I became an awkward self-conscious teenager, I was in drama club and performed in several school performances. In High School, I worked at our school's radio station, where I did a lot of recording and editing promos (like commercials). I enjoy doing impressions and silly voices just for fun. This really comes in handy with reading to my children now. Speaking of reading, I've always been a voracious reader. Series like Wheel of Time and Outlander were part of my formative years. I enjoy fantasy, romance (Regency period and modern day are my favorite), sci-fi, and comedy...or any combination of those. :) I enjoy my stories as physical books, ebook, and audiobook.
In general I'm a pretty nerdy person; I enjoy attending a nice comic con from time to time. Some of the shows/movies I enjoy include sci fi (Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Babylon 5, The Expanse, X-Files, etc), a few police procedurals (Castle, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law & Order SVU), Studio Ghibli, Doctor Who, Marvel and DC. I am also obsessed with Stitch (of Lilo and), and enjoy the occasional trip to Disneyland. I watch MLS soccer, and Premier League football, supporting Sporting KC and West Ham United respectively. I enjoy arts and crafts, and have at least dabbled in pretty much every medium supplied at my local JoAnns. Over the last few years I have also been doing woodworking and filling up my garage workspace with new tools...and then building something to organize, hang, cart, or house those tools (I'm a big fan of the French Cleat!).
